Crave Catering | Sustainability

At Crave Catering, sustainability is more than just a buzz word. We've been integrating sustainable practices into our company since our humble beginnings as a taqueria more than 20 years ago. If you're passionate about the planet and the people we share it with, Crave is the caterer for you!

It Starts in the Soil

It Starts in the Soil

Our sustainability practices start with our farm! We operate our very own 20-acre farm property, Gather and Feast Farm, from which we source many of the items you see in our menus. We are proud to use biodiverse and organic farming procedures, which means no pesticides or herbicides – ever!

Growing our own produce isn't the only way we are closing the loop between farm and fork. We bring it full circle by recycling food scraps as feed for livestock, or compost for the soil.

Beyond the Farm

Beyond the Farm

Our earth-friendly practices don't end at the farm! In-house, we implement sustainable practices whenever possible. We opt for digital documents instead of printed, and when we do print, it's on recycled paper that is re-used (and then recycled again!).

In order to cut down on the use of disposable plates and forks, we offer our re-usable, sustainable-ware package at no cost to our clients. These are only a few of the many sustainable practices used at Crave Catering!

A Sustainable Community

A Sustainable Community

At Crave Catering, sustainability also includes a promise to honor and respect our fellow human beings – both locally and globally. This means valuing diversity and individuality in the workplace and supporting a healthy work/life balance.

Locally, we make food donations to the Portland Rescue Mission several times a week, and we regularly donate our services to local causes. Globally, we always opt for fair-trade items when making purchases, and consistently partner with vendors that share our values.
